Glycolic Acid is a naturally occurring Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). It is derived from sugar cane and is the smallest molecule of the AHA's therefore it has the deepest and quickest penetration of all the AHA's. Glycolic Acid slows down the aging process of the skin by stimulating the growth of new collagen and elastin cells which restores bulk and diminishes fine lines. It also reduces skin discoloration and age spots, reduces blemishes, unsightly pores and blackheads and reverses sun damaged skin conditions. Not only does it reverse sun damage but protects against further sun damage and other unhealthy skin conditions. It treats dull and unhealthy-looking skin by creating healthy skin growth and a brighter look.

Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Facial Peels

We use a 35% pure glycolic acid gel for the peels. It is not buffered and therefore penetrates deeper and faster. Even the most sensitive skin will benefit from glycolic acid. The lower the pH of the Glycolic Acid the more effective it is on the skin. The 35% gel has a pH of 0.7%. It is a safe chemical peel for all skin types, even the most sensitive skin. The best benefit is experienced by starting with a series of 3 peels, each two weeks apart. Then a maintenance peel every four to eight weeks. This schedule along with faithful use of the glycolic acid skin care products will produce the maximum benefit.
